TIMOTHY SCOTT BOGART
Biography
In 1996, as Tim’s first outing as an independent
Writer/Executive Producer, Tim broke new ground in
children’s television, by developing a live-action, modern
day version of the Kipling classic, “THE JUNGLE BOOK” for
Fox Kid’s Network. Serving as Creator, Executive Producer
and Writer on all of the twenty-six episodes of the series,
he also directed the one-hour season finale.
From there, Tim moved onto the Columbia/Tri-Star Series,
“BORN FREE,” where he wrote & directed nearly half of the
first season’s twenty-six episodes.
In 1999, Tim produced the feature film, “LOVE AND SEX” for
Behaviour Worldwide, which premiered at the 2000 Sundance
Film Festival before being released by Lions Gate. Written
& directed by Valerie Breiman, the film starred Famke
Janssen, Jon Favreau, David Schwimmer, Ann Magnuson and
Noah Emmerich.
In 2001, Tim was one of the writers on Paramount Pictures’
big budget action film, “EXTREME OPS,” Directed by
Christian Duguay and starring Rupert Graves, Rufus Sewell,
and Devon Sawa. The film was released in 2002.
Also in 2002, Tim was the Writer/Executive Producer of the
Two-Hour Event Movie for ABC, “THE EXTREME TEAM.” The
project starred Bai Ling and Eric Mabius.
In 2003, Tim adapted the Dimension Films release, “THE I
INSIDE,” starring Ryan Phillipe, Sara Polley, Piper Perabo,
Robert Sean Leonard and Stephen Rea. The film was
Executive Produced by Bob and Harvey Weinstein, and was
based on the play by Michael Cooney.
In 2004, Tim developed the 6-Hour Mini-Series, “BORDERS,”
for FX, a look at the global AIDS pandemic as seen through
the eyes of the Aid Agencies on the frontlines. Tim was
Writer/Executive Producer of the project, alongside fellow
Executive Producers, Arnold Rifkin with Bruce Willis’
Cheyenne Enterprises and Tony To (BAND OF BROTHERS, FROM
THE EARTH TO THE MOON).

2004 also saw Tim writing the sequel to DUMBO for
DisneyToons Studios, as well as developing an original
animated film for Disney Feature Animation, entitled, “THE
MISSION.”
2004 ended with Tim’s feature film directorial debut,
“TOUCHED,” starring Emmy Nominee and Golden Globe Winner,
Jenna Elfman.
The film also starred Samantha Mathis, Golden Globe
Nominee, Diane Venora and Golden Globe Winner and Oscar
Nominee, Bruce Davison. The film was chosen for the
Prestigious Opening Night Film of the 2005 Boston Film
Festival, as well as being chosen as a Premiere Screening
at the 2005 Hollywood Film Festival.
For 2005, Tim wrote the FX Event Movie, “CHASING THE
SLEEPER CELL,” Executive Produced by Lowell Bergman and Dan
Halsted, about the break up of the Lackawanna Terror Cell
in Buffalo, New York.
In early 2006, Tim wrote the pilot, “CHASING GOLD,” a
dramatic series for The WB Network. He was to be the
Creator as well as Executive Producer, alongside Gary
Randall.
In late 2006, Tim’s latest Pilot, “CONSPIRACY,” a one-hour
dramatic series for Lifetime Television, was produced for
Fox TV Studios, with Tim serving as Creator and Executive
Producer along with Gary Randall.
Tim is currently developing a new series, “FORT CASEY,” for
ABC/Touchstone Television. Tim is the Creator, as well as
Executive Producer, along with Frank Spotnitz (“The X
Files”) and Warren Littlefield.
In the feature world, Tim is set to Direct his feature
script, “THE YEAR OF WONDERS,” for Bill Block’s, QED
Entertainment. The film is set to star Abigail Breslin,
Academy Award Nominee from “Little Miss Sunshine.”
