“Has Karzai the muscle to take-up negotiations and the habit to tell the truth?”
“Hamid Karzai, the figurehead of the Kabul Administration, said in a press conference the other
day that if Mullah Omar stands for negotiation, I will guarantee his security and safety. Adding in
the same tone, he said: ‘if the International Community opposes the process of dialogue, they
have two options: either to leave the country or remove me from my job.’”
“Ironically, on the one hand, he poses to be his own man and on the other hand, he believes the
power of his firing lies in others’ hands!!!”
“These notwithstanding, the stance and resolution of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan are clear
as the broad daylight. Being the representative and embodiment of the aspirations of the Mujahid
and Muslim people of Afghanistan, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is not craving for a solution
based on empty and farce solutions, which converge on a compromise on our national
independence. Karzai and his masters should know, personal immunity and power obtainment is
not an issue for Mullah Mohammad Omar Mujhaid (May Allah protect him). Had it been the case,
it would have been resolved by his arrival to the corridors of Kabul and securing a guarantee for
his personal safety but the main issue is the occupation of Afghanistan by the invading forces
who are hailing from more than 40 countries of the world. This is the issue which must be tackled
to begin with. All sides must consider the rationale behind the legitimate stand of the Islamic of
Afghanistan which insists on the pull-out of foreign troops. Any solution disregarding the
presence of the foreign troops in Afghanistan will only grant a legal status to the presence of the
foreign troops in Afghanistan.”
“Our people may remember that at the first months following the American invasion of
Afghanistan, Mr. Karzai was reiterating the same appeals and polished assertions for members
and the rank and file of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, claiming no member of Taliban,
whether senior or junior, would be harassed merely by being a member of Taliban. Then, we saw
with our own eyes that thousands of defenseless Taliban were arrested and kept in containers
and dungeons of Qallae Jangi; they were consequently mercilessly martyred -- an unforgettable
tragedy reminiscent of Mr. Karzai’s retracting his promise. The perpetrators of these crimes now
roam in streets freely and with impunity. Even the International Community has not taken
practical steps to bring the perpetrators to book. In that case, they may have produced this act of
theirs as a sign to portray their being just and supporter of lawfulness.”

“Our people and the public of the world know that Mr. Karzai’s constant insisting on foreign
troops to avoid military operations, bombardment and search operations without consultations
with and intimation of the Afghan side, has been like water off a duck’s back all throughout this
period. They usually do not attach importance to his words.”
“Therefore, considering the status quo, one can conclude that the hackneyed words and
assertions by Mr. Karzai are aimed at throwing dust in the eyes of the people. Ironically, Karzai has
not the authority to take up the dialogue by his own nor can tell the nation the truth.”
