Customized Reports with Drag-and-Drop Convenience
AJAX-enabled interface enhancements and new calculation features make it
possible to gain fresh insight into online visitors and Web site performance in
the time it takes to drag and drop measures into Web Analytics reports.
Marketers can:
• Customize reports. Calculations can be added to reports at any time.
• Gain new insights in real time. Existing columns can be rearranged or
new ones added on the fly.
• Perform calculations within reports. No longer is there a need to export
data into Excel spreadsheets to perform many types of calculations.
Marketers can gain new insight – such as Average Visit by Page Views or Average
Revenue Per Order – by dragging and dropping measures they want to compare
directly into reports. These formulas are calculated automatically and the results

WebTrends Analytics 8.5 combines precise administrative control with the
efficiency of preconfigured roles and groups.
New roles-related features include:
• Tailor-made roles. Administrators can create new roles with distinct
permissions and access rights for individual users or categories
of accounts.
• Preconfigured roles. Many users don’t need tailor-made roles. They can
be assigned new preconfigured roles, greatly reducing administrative
effort. Appropriate permissions are built into the preconfigured roles.
• Time-saving templates. Administrators can streamline account setup by
using the preconfigured roles as templates. Permissions and access rights
built into these roles can be quickly modified to meet the needs
of specific users or organizations.
New group-related features offer:
• Easy creation of groups. User groups can be created based on common
attributes in the profiles of individual users.
• Unique roles, permissions. Individuals in a group can have different
roles and permissions.
• Quick clustering. User lists can be sorted by group.
• Easier navigation. The updated user interface utilizes AJAX development
techniques to reduce clicks and eliminate manual “paging” when
managing long user lists.

Analytics 8.5 offers enhanced support for Asian languages.
Marketers in Asian business hubs can more easily perform the following Web

• Software installation. On-screen installation instructions are localized.
• Analytics administration. In the software format of WebTrends Analytics 8.5,
user profiles and other administrative tasks are localized to Japanese and
simplified Chinese.
