360 XML API’s support the leading standards in the library
community:
• 360 Search and 360 Link – Dublin Core Metadata
The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative is an open forum
engaged in the development of interoperable online
metadata standards that support a broad range of
purposes and business models.
• 360 Search – SRU/SRW Protocols
SRU (Search/Retrieve via URL), the standard search
protocol for Internet search queries, uses CQL (Common
Query Language), a standard query syntax for representing
queries. SRW (Search Retrieve Web Service) is a

Serials Solutions provides documentation and support
In addition to extensive documentation, Serials Solutions
provides developer support for XML API’s in the form of e-mail
support and a listserv. Access to the listserv is restricted to
clients and prospects that have signed a Non-Disclosure
Agreement (NDA). Serials Solutions will monitor the listserv and
reply to posted questions as quickly as possible.
New Serials Solutions 360 Link and Search clients will
implement their service with the Serials Solutions Library
Support Associate, and Serials Solutions will set up connections
on behalf of the library. An existing client needs to sign a NDA
and will be given access to the technical documentation for the
API upon execution of the NDA.
These services are provided free with a regular subscription to
360 Link or 360 Search.
